Stephen's storytime

In an attempt to illustrate Stephen's stories, i have been boning up on drawing Montblanc.

I started by looking at the original: (now slightly altered)



and then my character studies:



the ones on the ends are slightly newer than the center. But i think all three together show some good progression. (all three on 3x5 cards, bottom one in ball point pen [it was all i had at the time])

Jerad's on vacation!

Since Jerad is gone for the week, I though I would draw something that would make him proud. I "borrowed" the multi eyes idea from his furry beast. He wouldn't mind. In fact, he drew those monster's eyes from looking at his own in the mirror. Come to think of it, the whole monster is a dead on likeness of Jerad.

So... it's waaaaay past my bedtime. My mom let me stay up. Of course it was her fault for letting me drink two cups of coffee with my pie though. Plus, she made me watch that scary movie too...
Anyways... I was all set to post this most excellent new scu robot picture... oh wait, that's right. You have never seen the scu robot before... Well, this was going to be your lucky day / night then. But, alas, the web seems to be acting all sorts of funky tonight so I can't put up the new picture. Oh well, we will all just have to wait until tomorrow to see it.

Welcome Justin

The Pencil Haus has a new doodler and his name is Justin. Justin comes to us via Stephen. The two have been friends for quite sometime and often share meaningful conversations over a warm cup of International Coffee. It's good to have Justin around. Take a moment and tell Justin "Hi"...
